SNORKELING

Whether you’re looking to explore the reefs on your winter cruise or vacation or you want to explore that pond behind your house, we will teach you techniques to make your experience safer, easier, and much more enjoyable. We provide the equipment…and a brief education on obtaining your own.

TRY SCUBA

You have always wanted to try it and here is your opportunity. This class will provide you with information and experiences to explore what Scuba Diving entails. We provide the Equipment…You provide the smiles.

SCIENCE OF DIVING

Join the SSI Science of Diving specialty and you will develop a complete understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body. This specialty is required training for most SSI Professional programs, as well as some Extended Range programs, and is an essential way to expand your dive knowledge. Upon completion, you will be halfway to earning the coveted SSI Divemaster rating and earn the SSI Science of Diving specialty certification.

OPEN WATER SCUBA COURSE

This course is your first step towards lifetime certification. Our very experienced instructors will lead you through all of the required water skills and knowledge you will need to take the second step and pass your open water dives. All books and scuba equipment are provided except for your personal snorkeling system. Students will receive information on how to purchase their own equipment throughout this course and will be encouraged to do so. The next class starts on November 11, 2023, and runs on Saturdays through December 2nd!

ADVANCED OPEN WATER SCUBA COURSE

The Advanced Open Water Diver course will provide you with specialty training and skills enhancing your ability to experience a broader range of underwater environments and various situations with an increased level of diving knowledge and safety. To complete your rating you must have a minimum of 24 Open Water dives before final certification. Students must provide all equipment for all advanced classes, including some specialty equipment which will be discussed in the course

SPECIALITY DIVER SCUBA COURSES

Each of our specialty courses focuses on the proper knowledge, skills, equipment and experience required to help you become a proficient diver.

CLOSED CIRCUIT REBREATHER

This course for the Poseidon Discovery MKVI CCR Rebreather is the entry level certification course for divers wishing to learn about or purchase the Poseidon Discovery MKVI CCR Rebreather. The objective of the course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for diving a Poseidon Discovery MKVI CCR Rebreather and to develop basic diving skills to a maximum of 60 feet using air as a diluent. No decompression diving is allowed on this course. Divers need to be Nitrox qualified.

MASTER DIVER

SSI’s Master Diver rating is one of the most elite ratings in diving today. Divers that have completed this level have combined the knowledge, skills and experience to truly call themselves Master Divers.

To earn the certification for Master Diver, you must complete 4 specialty courses, Diver Stress&Rescue and have done a total of 50 dives.

DIVE PROFESSIONAL

If you are looking for a career in diving, becoming an SSI Dive Professional is the best choice you can make. SSI is the only organization that not only trains you to teach others how to dive, but also teaches you what you need to know to become a key player in the industry.

EXTENDED RANGE

Looking for extreme action or just a dive beyond the limits? Check out SSI’s Extended Range Programs!

Ever wonder what happens when you exceed a no decompression limit or what is just inside that shipwreck or cavern? Would you like to know – but not if you have to wear 4 scuba tanks and complete 2 hours of decompression time? If so welcome to the world of extended range diving. Many divers are surprised to discover that many “technical” dives can be completed with minor modifications to their recreational diving systems.

REACT RIGHT

Learn the “How-To” of First Aid, CPR, AED and Oxygen administration in diving emergencies as well as emergency assessment, so that any emergency situation can be evaluated properly.

STRESS AND RESCUE

Stress is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. Through this course you will learn accident prevention, as well as how to handle problem situations if they occur. The program is about avoiding, recognizing and solving problems on the surface and underwater. As a prerequisite for certification you must be 15 years of age and have a current CPR, First Aid and Oxygen Provider (DAN O2) certification. The SSI React Right Course includes all prerequisite courses.
